with Shell

Hi, I’m Shell!

I’m a Bristol based yoga teacher and chef, specialising in acro yoga and handstands. I’ve always been passionate about creative movement and food and it’s a joy to share these with you. On my website you can find links to my workshops, classes and favourite recipes that I’ve created over the years. Engaging in creativity has helped me reconnect with the playfulness that I remember as a child, something that got lost in my early adult years. I believe that the more we can connect to that lightness and flow that arises through creativity and presence, the easier it can be to navigate the waves of this ever changing and crazy world.

My classes are invigorating, creative and playful. I invite my students into a safe space and help give them the tools to build a strong relationship with their body and connect to inner wisdom and strength. I encourage students to trust themselves and their yoga journey to help find more confidence both on and off the mat. From the first day I tried acroyoga I was hooked from the strength, connection and exploration that was required from the body to achieve asana in the air. I continue to practice captivated by the curiosity it brings as to how the body works and evolves, and of course the endless smiles and laughter that comes with it. As a teacher it lights me up to see progression in my students achieving things they never thought they could do, and even more so the amount that they continue to open themselves physically and mentally towards others, gaining a new perspective on trust and communication. Acroyoga brings out the inner child in us which I believe is essential to stay light hearted and have fun in a society which pressurises us in so many ways. Trust me, when your upside down... it tips everything else out of your head…!

My food is filled with love. I love being in the zone in the kitchen, entering that flow state and creating flavour that excite and nourish the body. I believe that when the food is good, conversation flows easily and the experience is enriched. I share my food on yoga retreats as a private chef, and local supperclubs.

You can find me happiest when I’m in the kitchen or upside down with my love for standing acrobatics. A passionate hobby that has been pivotal in finding inner strength and overcoming fears, learning to trust myself and the ground beneath me, whatever that may be. We have an incredible community here in Bristol and worldwide and it’s an absolute honour to be a part of welcoming new members and support them on their journey.
